Sherrie assisted with the GOTR CNY 5K for several years and then volunteered as a head coach for two spring seasons in 2009 and 2010. She has been serving as the Program Director for the CNY council since the summer of 2011. Sherrie is an avid bicyclist and rode across the northwest portion of the United States several years ago. She used that ride as an opportunity raise funds for the CNY council through the GOTR SoleMates program. In addition to cycling, Sherrie is an active runner and enjoys many other outdoor sports. Sherrie and her husband own and operate a historic hotel in Cooperstown, New York.
Tanya Shalor, Chief Financial Officer of Opportunities for Otsego, Inc., joined the Girls on the Run Board of Directors in April 2014. As a former GOTR coach, she is familiar with the program and also volunteers as a youth soccer and softball coach in her hometown. With her knowledge gained of the community in her former role as Publisher of The Daily Star, she brings energy and expertise to the organization and is committed to our mission. Tanya resides in Worcester, NY with husband, Kevin, and daughter, Hailey.
Jim is a self-employed attorney at James P. Ferrari Law Office in Fly Creek, NY. Jim has several years of non-profit experience and is involved in town government. Jim and his family have been actively involved with GOTRCNY for several years.
Sallie owns and operates her own private practice psychotherapy office. Sallie has specialized in working with adolescent girls for over 20 years.
