Program Fee

For the 2017 season, the fee will be determined by a schedule based on family income. Please note that this fee structure may include an increase depending on your family income. It costs Girls on the Run of Central New York approximately $130 per girl to effectively run the program. This fee is subsidized through grants, fundraising efforts, and private donations. Additionally, there are a limited number of scholarships available. If you are in need of scholarship assistance, please read the Scholarship section below.

Program Fee Schedule

The true cost of our program is approximately $130 per girl. Through the generosity of our sponsors, donors and grantors, we are able to offer our program at a reduced rate. We use a sliding scale that uses HH income, to ensure the program is affordable.

Family Income-based Fee Scale
Greater than $50,000 -- $90.00
$30,000 - $49,999 -- $60.00
$19,000 - $29,999 -- $30.00 - Reduced Lunch

Girls on the Run of Central New York reserves the right to request financial documents from the applicant’s parent/guardian.

For families registering more than one daughter, after the program fee is paid for the first daughter per the schedule above, the fee for each additional daughter is $45.00.  Please note that this discount is only available to those paying the full fee based on household income.  The sibling discount is not available if other discounts or scholarships have been applied.

Information About Scholarships

Girls on the Run of Central New York believes a sense of pride and ownership is developed if there is a contribution towards the cost of participation. Therefore, we respectfully request that applicants pay some portion of the program fee if at all possible.  Please contact Council Director, Jill Feury, if you are in need of a scholarship.

  • Scholarships are awarded as needed, but may be limited by funds available to the organization.
  • Scholarships must be approved by the Council Director during the online registration period.  Scholarships are not available once the season has started.
  • Receiving a scholarship does not guarantee a slot on the team roster.
  • Once your scholarship has been approved, a scholarship discount code will be issued by the Council Director and will be valid for 48 hours for use during the online registration process. You must complete the online participant registration using the code.
  • Girls on the Run of Central New York reserves the right to request financial documents from the applicant’s parent/guardian.
